Classes

Siobhan Victoria’s has now been open for over twelve years, we aim to produce shows, exams, compete in competitions and community performances each year. I have studied dance, music and drama since the age of three, performing in various shows around the country competing and winning British championship competitions and taking grades and examinations in the arts.

At Siobhan Victoria’s we have a wide range of classes available including Acro-dance, Show Classes, Competition classes, IDTA exams, Rewards, Singing, Performance Exams, Drama and Musical Theatre.
Our pupils have taken part in professional shows around the country including Alton Towers, Manchester and Liverpool. Our last exam session had all pupils taking graded exams being awarded Distinction with the IDTA. Our competition pupils have been awarded North West Street Dance Champions.

As a school we have been awarded the Bolton Mark and nominated for Sports School of the year four years running and Teacher of the year for the Bolton Sports Awards and Inspiring Women’s Awards.

Dance Classes

At Siobhan Victorias we offer a wide range of dance classes in a mixture of genres including Freestyle, Cheerleading, Street, Contemporary, Ballet, Tap, Lyrical and character. Pupils can start classes from the age of 2 and we teach qualifications right up to teacher level with the IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association). We also offer students the opportunity to dance around the country performing in shows and gaining rewards with IDR (International Dance Rewards)

We have had students train with us and go onto travel the world teaching dance, further their training in dance at performing arts schools and continue to have careers in the arts.

Drama and Musical Theatre Classes

Classes work towards building social skills and confidence in speaking and performing. Pupils learn acting techniques and take qualifications in acting and musical theatre including the Arts Award.

Classes available for pupils age 6+ and work towards shows once a year, reward and the Arts Award.

Pupils learn techniques such as; mime, improvisation, voice projection, characterisation, stage awareness and the creation of a narrative.

Classes are mixed age groups and abilities.

Singing Lessons

We at Siobhan Victoria’s School of Dance and Drama offer singing lessons to students both one to one lessons and group lessons.

Pupils learn a range of breathing techniques, tuning, exercises and songs that will push there abilities and gain exams and qualifications.

Our singing pupils perform in our annual show both performing individually and with our dance student.

Pupils also work towards rewards in musical theatre.

Acro Dance Classes

At Siobhan Victorias we offer Acro-dance classes from beginner to advanced following the Acrobatic Arts curriculum, pupils learn numerous acrobatic steps and combinations to enhance their dance and performance abilities.

Lessons work towards building techniques in dance acrobatics. Pupils work on lifts, flexibility and strength in performing Acro whilst dancing, taught by qualified Acro and dance teachers.

As well as learning different movements our Acrobatic pupils participate in shows and exam qualifications in Acro-dance.

Competition Classes

At Siobhan Victoria’s we compete in numerus competitions throughout the year in a mixture of dance styles.

We have been North West Street Dance champions in a variety of age groups and achieved high standards and awards in solos, duets and battles.

Pupils participate in a variety of classes throughout the week in order to be part of the competition groups.

The main competitions that we participate in are street but we also take part in professional shows around the country doing contemporary and street dance. Our competition pupils have performed in Manchester, Liverpool, Alton Towers and Blackpool to name a few places.

Pupils have also participated in professional led workshops in Liverpool and London in order to enhance their learning of the arts.

We currently have three competition groups at Siobhan Victorias ranging from ages 6 – adult.

In order to join our competition classes pupils are to participate in another class at Siobhan Victorias and have been dancing with us for at least a year.

Wedding / Event Dance Classes

Private classes are available for wedding and event dances such as birthday parties, anniversaries and first dances at weddings.

We have created many first dance wedding dances and for Birthdays and Anniversary events both for adults and children.
